St. Xavier School was begun in responses to the many repeated requests and aspirations of the people of the area in April 2002 with a fresh and energetic batch of 55 LKG students. The school is run by Shimla Chandigarh Educational Society, through the dedicated and selfless services of the Sisters of the Destitute. The school was upgraded by one class every year. In the current year we have classes from Nursery to X.
Accordingly, the co-educational school aims at an integrated and wholesome training of its students, by which their physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs are catered to in an atmosphere of individual care as well as collective concern. The students are placed in an eco-friendly environment conductive to study and growth. They are motivated and guided by qualified, efficient and committed staff members with personal attention not only to gain knowledge but also to form an integrated personality endowed with moral and spiritual values.
The methodology of teaching is both creative and innovative. Mature and committed teachers make a deeper impact on the students. Hence, the personal integrity of the teachers is of utmost concern for the school. Time to time they are given an ongoing formation through, seminars and different courses.
Co-curricular activities like singing, dancing, sports, drawing, and painting are given immense importance. Computer, being so essential in the modern era is introduced from class I. Pupils are taught through play way method. Knowledge and values are being imparted without force, patiently and understandingly. We believe that if we motivate and assist children to love studies and grow as integrated persons, God willing, they will come out with flying colors.
