“When the night grows darkest, hope becomes the dawn that the soul awaits — a single ray that rekindles faith and lights the world anew.”
The 9th Annual Function of Saint Xavier School, Bhaddalthuha, unfolded in a symphony of grace and grandeur under the luminous theme “Rayon d’Espoir" meaning “Ray of Hope". The celebration was a sublime portrayal of optimism, resilience, and the indomitable human spirit that finds light even in adversity. Organised under the visionary guidance of Rev. Fr. Sahaya Jeyahar and the dynamic leadership of Principal Respected Sr. Juby John , the event stood as a radiant milestone in the school’s journey of nurturing minds and inspiring hearts.
The Chief Guest, Most Rev. Bishop Dr. Sahaya Thetheus Thomas, was ceremoniously received with the resonant beats of the school band, marking a graceful commencement to the evening’s festivities. The presence of Reverend Fathers and Sisters from various parishes and institutions further lent solemnity and reverence to the occasion. The programme commenced with a soulful prayer dance, invoking divine blessings upon the gathering, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the triumph of knowledge over ignorance and hope over despair.
A cascade of enthralling performances then illuminated the stage — the Shadow Dance, a masterpiece of expression and emotion, portrayed the eternal triumph of light, while the UV Light Show mesmerised the audience with its ethereal splendour and artistic finesse. The evening culminated in an electrifying Bhangra performance, radiating vigour, joy, and cultural vibrance. The grand celebration concluded with the National Anthem, resonating a deep sense of patriotism and unity.
The 9th Annual Function, “Rayon d’Espoir,” thus stood as a magnificent ode to the power of hope — a gentle reminder that even the faintest ray can illuminate countless hearts and pave the way for a brighter tomorrow.
